Character description
Lich, a caster of the arcane from a considerable range, excels in the cerebral attribute of intelligence. As a support, this hero thrives, wielding his prowess most formidably during the commencement and intermediate phases of the skirmish.
Role description
In the theater of war, Lich emerges as a paragon for combative engagements, courtesy of his arsenal of spells that rain devastation upon multiple adversaries simultaneously. From the very genesis of the laning phase, Lich's Frost Blast spell is a harbinger of harassment to his foes. Amidst the tumult of battle, he can bestow resilience upon an ally or fortification with Frost Shield. His Sinister Gaze binds an adversary in place, and with the acquisition of Aghanim's Scepter, the spell's embrace extends to ensnare multiple foes. Such capabilities augment the lethality of Lich's Chain Frost, a spell of chilling retribution that decimates clustered enemies with ease. Yet, even in singular combat, Lich's potency is undiminished, particularly when wielding the Ice Spire ability granted by the Aghanim's Shard.
Character lore
In an era suffused with desperation, audacious sorcerers ensnared Ethreain, consigning him to the depths of an abyssal pool, notorious for its unfathomable depths. Eons hence, the necromancer Anhil, whilst on a quest of discovery, stumbled upon Ethreain's remains and, through forbidden rites, reanimated him. The necromancer's realization of his grievous blunder dawned upon him only as Lich's eyelids unfurled and, with but a mere gesture, he rent the wizard asunder.
