Appearance history
On the 22nd of September, 2021, the AWP | Desert Hydra made its debut as a constituent of The 2021 Mirage Collection, unveiled in tandem with the commencement of Operation Riptide. The 2minds studio is credited with its conception.
Pattern description
Adorning the rifle's chassis is an elaborate portrayal of a multi-headed hydra, its gaze fixated down the barrel. The hydra's form is rendered in a muted ecru, while its visage and maws radiate with a vibrant cyan hue. Enveloping the backdrop is a fusion of amber and blush tones, embellished with ornate patterns and subtle gradations. The firearm's barrel, sighting apparatus, and the distal segment of the stock are enrobed in alabaster, accented by a filigree of slender umber striations.
Effect of float
Spanning from pristine to battle-hardened, the AWP | Desert Hydra's Float Value oscillates between 0.00 and 0.60, ensuring its availability across all states of wear. In conditions just shy of factory-new, the weapon's alabaster components begin to exhibit minute signs of wear. As the wear encroaches upon the upper echelons, the once-pristine paint is all but effaced, revealing a patinated undercoat that imparts a considerably duskier aspect to the firearm.
Pattern difference
Indifferent to the whims of the pattern index, the visual essence of the skin remains unaltered.
Skin Features
The AWP | Desert Hydra is distinguished by its Covert quality and is accompanied by a memento iteration.
Skin popularity
Despite its coveted status as one of the most sought-after skins, the AWP | Desert Hydra is seldom observed in play, its exorbitant value being the primary deterrent.
