Appearance history

The XM1014 | Blue Steel made its debut in the virtual armory on the 27th of November, 2013, emerging alongside the 'Out with the old, in with the new' update and as an integral part of The Lake Collection.

Pattern description

Enveloping the shotgun's form, a cold bluing technique has been employed, bestowing upon its metallic surfaces a mélange of pale violet, cerulean, and verdant hues. Additionally, vestiges of patina grace the body. The shotgun's handguard, grip, buttstock, and select diminutive components remain devoid of coloration.

Effect of float

The XM1014 | Blue Steel's Float Value oscillates between 0.00 and 1.00, ensuring its availability across the spectrum of conditions. Even in the pristine Factory New state, the unadorned segments of the shotgun exhibit minute scuffs, while the cold blued regions bear subtle patina marks. As wear encroaches upon its zenith, the frequency and magnitude of abrasions hold steadfast; the cold blued segments become shrouded in a patina veil, casting a notably more somber shade upon the skin.
